Vintage Accessories

Caps and hats, handpicked one piece at a time. Sports logos, event and Olympic caps, denim and embroidered styles, most of them from the 80s and 90s. Accessories are the easiest way into vintage, because sizing's far more forgiving than it is on clothing.

Most vintage caps came with an adjustable strap or a snapback rather than a fixed size, so they suit a lot more heads than a modern fitted cap does. If one's fitted instead, we'll tell you and give you the size. The brim and the sweatband wear before the crown does, and we photograph any marking.

Most of our caps come through vintage Nike, with pieces also turning up in vintage Levi's and vintage Ralph Lauren. For clothing, browse the full range.

Common questions

Are vintage caps one size?
Most are adjustable, with a strap, buckle or snapback at the back, so they'll fit a wide range of head sizes. Fitted caps are the exception, and we list the size when that's what you're looking at.

How do I clean an old cap?
Spot clean it by hand with cold water and a soft brush, and please don't put it in the washing machine or the dryer. Older brims sometimes have cardboard rather than plastic inside, and soaking one will ruin its shape for good.

What condition should I expect?
Caps get worn hard, so a bit of marking on the brim or sweatband is common and it's the sign of a genuinely used piece. Anything beyond ordinary wear gets described and photographed before it goes on sale.
