A Bathing Ape, second-hand and genuinely rare. BAPE pieces reach the Australian resale market in tiny numbers, so this collection's deliberately small and often holds a single item.
Every listing shows the neck label, the internal tags and the print up close. Sizing's the other thing to know: BAPE followed Japanese sizing, which runs noticeably smaller than ours, so a large sits closer to a local medium. Check the length as well as the chest, since Japanese cuts run shorter in the body. Cotton on the older pieces has softened with washing, and we describe any wear on the listing.
For collared and printed pieces, see vintage polos and shirts and vintage t-shirts. For streetwear from the same era, try vintage Quiksilver.
Common questions
Does BAPE sizing run small?
Yes. BAPE uses Japanese sizing, which is roughly a size smaller than Australian or US equivalents, so a Japanese large fits closer to a local medium. Go by the measurements we've listed.
What condition do these come in?
It varies piece by piece, and we describe it on every listing. Expect softened cotton and some fading on anything that's been worn, and expect a hole, a mark or a repair to be photographed rather than glossed over.
Why's there usually only one item?
Because that's honestly all we have. BAPE rarely reaches the second-hand market here, and we'd rather show you one piece we're confident about than pad the page.
