Delta's another of the blanks that carried other people's designs, and what comes through us under the label is mostly college and travel prints: university names, teams and holiday destinations rather than bands or brands.
College and travel prints tend to be simpler graphics on heavier cotton. They were printed in big numbers so plenty survived, and they date easily, because a university logo or a cruise line changes its branding over time. We photograph the print and the neck tag on every listing, since between them they'll place a piece in a period. Sizing's boxy and short, as with all blanks of the era.
For every print we've got, browse vintage t-shirts and vintage sweatshirts. Vintage Hanes is the blank we have most of.
Common questions
Are college prints worth collecting?
They're one of the steadiest parts of the vintage market. The graphics are simple, the cotton's usually heavy, and a university or team logo places the shirt in a period without needing a tag.
What's a blank maker?
It's the company that made the plain garment before anyone printed on it. The name on the neck tag is the blank maker, and the graphic on the front came from whoever bought the shirt to print.
Why's the collection small?
Every piece is a one-off, and these come through in ones and twos. It grows as we find them rather than on any schedule.
