Vintage Jackets

Windbreakers, puffers, denim and work jackets, varsity jackets and track tops.

Zips, poppers and cuffs wear out before the fabric does, linings can be marked while the outside still looks sharp, and an old waterproof coating won't last forever. We check the fastenings on every jacket and tell you about anything that sticks, catches or is missing. If a coating's had its day, we'll say so rather than calling something waterproof when it isn't.

Most of these come from vintage Nike, vintage Starter for varsity and team jackets, and vintage Ralph Lauren. Have a look at the full range to see everything at once.

Common questions

Do the zips and poppers still work?
We check every jacket before it's listed, and anything that sticks, catches or is missing gets described and photographed. Older zips often need a firmer pull than you're used to, which is normal rather than a problem.

Is a vintage waterproof jacket still waterproof?
Honestly, not reliably. Waterproof coatings and taped seams break down over time no matter how a jacket's been kept, so we describe these pieces for what they are instead of promising performance. Treat an older shell as a windbreaker unless we've said otherwise.

How should a vintage jacket fit?
Older outerwear was generally cut boxier through the body and shorter in the sleeve than you'd expect today. Go by the measurements we've listed, and leave yourself room for a jumper underneath.
